Well Versed Writing Retreat
We're getting ready for 2027!
Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Offerings: Writing time, trade classes, peer review, and more!
When: Thursday, June 17 through Sunday, June 20, 2027 — three nights.
Where: A mountaintop home in Saluda, NC. All of us together, one roof.
Who: Just ten of us. I'm keeping it small on purpose, and once the spots are claimed, that's it.
Rooms: Rooms are shared, so if you have a friend you'd love to bring along and room with, let me know and I'll make sure you're together.
Holding your spot: Because there are only ten beds, a $400 deposit holds your place. Once we're full, we're full — so if you know you want in, don't wait too long.
Let's talk about cost
You knew it was bound to come up — money. The sooner you book, the less you pay — the price steps up as we fill:
- $800 — book by Nov 15, 2026
- $875 — Nov 16–Dec 31, 2026
- $950 — Jan 1–Feb 28, 2027
- $1,025 — March 1, 2027 and after

The Fine Print...
Attendee Agreement
- A $400 non-refundable deposit to hold an attendee's spot is required.
- All attendees will adhere to the guidelines of the property.
- All attendees will not smoke on the property or in the presence of other attendees.
- All attendees agree to be photographed at the event, and their photo may be used for promotional purposes for future events.
- If you would like to decline your photo being used, please submit the request to the event organizer in writing or via email.
- All attendees will make the host aware of any dietary restrictions at least 45 days prior to the start of the event (by May 3, 2027).
- All attendees attest that they are in good health and can go up and down five steps into and out of the property house.
- Please make the host aware of any medical issues that might need attention during the event.
- The event host and property owners are not responsible for any lost or stolen items, or for any bodily injury that occurs during the event.
Payments
- A $400 non-refundable deposit holds your spot.
- The remaining balance is due by April 17, 2027, unless other arrangements have been made with the event organizer.
- Payment plans are acceptable with retreat organizer authorization.
Cancellations
If an attendee must cancel their reservation with the retreat, they might be eligible for a partial refund. Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
- If canceled 90 days or more prior to the event (on or before March 19, 2027) — 50% refund of monies paid, minus the deposit amount.
- If canceled 45–89 days prior to the event (March 20 – May 3, 2027) — 25% refund of monies paid, minus the deposit amount.
- If canceled 44 days or fewer prior to the event (May 4, 2027 or later) — no refund is guaranteed.
